Introduction
We built ScannedLook so you can create scanned-looking PDFs without handing your documents to a server for processing. This policy explains what happens when you use our website.
Local processing
The conversion workflow runs in your browser. Your PDFs and images are not uploaded to us for scanning or transformation. Files you select stay on your device unless your browser or extensions send data elsewhere (which we do not control).
Hosting and logs
When you load pages from our domain, our hosting provider (and standard web servers) may record technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and time of access — similar to most websites. We use this only to operate and secure the service unless a stricter law applies.
Analytics and cookies
We may use first-party storage or cookies needed for the app to work (for example, language or UI preferences). If we add analytics, we will describe what is collected and how to opt out where applicable.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
Pages on this site may show ads served by Google LLC through the Google AdSense program. Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where allowed. That processing is governed by Google’s policies, not by us storing your PDFs (conversion still runs in your browser as described above).

When AdSense is enabled, we publish an ads.txt file at the root of our domain with Google’s
authorized-seller record, as Google requires for legitimate ad serving. Add that file when your AdSense account
provides the exact line to use. If you use ad blockers, ads may not appear; the rest of the site should still work.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, UK, or other regions with consent laws may see a cookie or consent notice when required; until such a banner is active, use the links above to control ad personalization where Google offers controls.
Third-party content
Pages may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; read their policies before submitting personal data there.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we have collected a child’s data in error, contact us and we will delete it where required.
Changes
We may revise this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
